Welcome Friends,
Alan immigrated from his native Manchester, England home at a very young
age. Settling in Columbus, Ohio Alan soon took an interest in playing guitar and
performing with local bands throughout his middle and high school years. He
moved to London in the early 70's to check out the music scene and play in some of
the local bands with brother of Guy Stevens, noted Producer of Procal Harem (Whiter
Shade Of Pale) Robin Trower and Bad Company, among others.
Returning to America after a year, he settled in the Rockies of Colorado for two years
to write and perform with Bob Ramsey (Rodeo Road). An offer to play guitar for The
Crowd Pleasers (West Bound/Atlantic) brought him back to Ohio. One particular artist
form that group was multi grammy winner "Babyface". Alan started his publishing
company, Dual Granny Publishing, which is an annogram of his nbame picked by
friend and student Iain Matthews (Matthews Southern Comfort, Fairport Convention).
Their introduction came about by Record Producer Greg Boone. Encouraged to write
and record under his Fresh Records Label, Alan has released two albums to date,
Beyond Manchester (AG01) and London Chronicles (AG02). He currently resides in
South Carolina with his wonderful wife Donna and faithful dog, Boo Boo. Some Artist
Alan has performed with or shared the bill with :
Bob Segar, Bette Midler, Crowd Pleasers, Mel Tillis, Bob Toppings of Little Jimmy
Dickins band, American Idol finalist Michael Coe, Post Rasin Band, The Invaders,
Kevin Mason AKA Kevin James and the Ole Salty Soles, and Quick Star
Records. Take a listen to my material and let me know
what you think in the guest log. I would love to hear from you. Enjoy your time on this
site and be sure to take the polls and join the mailing list.
